Community Voice Systems

Community Living Technologies can tailor the internal telephone system to provide each resident with a minimum of the following:

  • Their own telephone number
  • Their own voice mail facilities
  • Free internal village telephone calls
  • The ability to reuse their existing telephone(s)
  • The ability to guarantee the successful dialling of 000 or remote monitoring centre telephone numbers even when all main lines are busy
  • Standardised numbering to minimise change impact, i.e.: voice mail facilities are accessed by dialling "101", outside numbers can be dialled without having to initially dial "0" etc.

The Community Voice System can be expanded to include wireless handsets utilising site wide coverage, mobile phone integration, voice mail integration into e-mail etc.

Alcatel-Lucent TelephoneAs an option, Alcatel-Lucent's large screen XML IP Telephones enhance the telephony experience of residents or guests within communities. By utilising the telephone for so much more than just voice, Community Living Technologies are able to offer residents, guests or staff the following via the use of XML applications to enhance personnel contact and simplify day-to-day requests.

Features can include:

  • Personalised IP phone language, voice mail etc depending upon resident or guest profile
  • Personalised welcome messages
  • Simplified contact through detailed personnel information, photo and contact details display directly on the telephone screens
  • Simplified presentation of wake-up, alarm notification, community information display
  • Control door opening through telephone buttons
  • View Closed Circuit TV Cameras
  • General information, i.e.: local weather, local traffic conditions etc.

The Community Voice System also provides a number of other important functions. It caters for the needs of all staff, generally via the provision of digital or IP desk telephones and integrated wireless telephones, plus, also performs the basis for access control (via vandal proof weather resistant stainless steel telephones) and (where required) resident emergency communication. In addition, Community Living Technologies can integrate the Community Voice System with the paging or annunciation outputs from the Community Emergency Response System to allow for seamless notification and response of emergency assistance requests in those communities where patient or resident care is offered.
