Location Based Tracking
The requirement for community residents and staff to feel safe and secure without "building a prison" often necessitates the use of a discrete location based tracking system. BTAS provide location based tracking systems which are able to track and monitor the position of residents, staff or assets via the use of small lightweight tags. In addition, WiFi cordless handsets and any laptops or PDAs with WiFi access can also be tracked.
The correct implementation of a location based tracking system allows for quick and accurate location of assets (i.e.: where is the nearest wheelchair?), location of residents or staff (i.e.: where is Jane?), notification of a breach or real-time accurate reporting and notification of an emergency request.
Breach notification can include an asset being taken outside of a permitted area (i.e.: potential theft) or alternatively, unauthorised access into a restricted area (i.e.: patient accessing a chemical store or drug storage area).
