Security and Access Systems

Residents and staff need to feel safe and secure within their local community. They deserve peace of mind knowing that visitors can be easily identified and allowed access without compromising the perimeter security of the community.

Community Living Technologies install access control systems that interface to a combination of telephone systems and security platforms that provide a feeling of safety and security and give residents the ability to control access to the community. 

Guest Access

Guests and visitors can request entry to a site from a locked external gate via vandal-proof stainless steel telephones, provided through the Community Living Technologies communication system.
Residents or staff can receive requests for entry via their telephone or computer and can remotely allow access to visitors, guests, tradespeople or emergency services.

Residents and staff can immediately verify the identification of the visitor by viewing footage from a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera. CCTV images can be viewed from IP telephones with large display screens, computers, or television screens.

Resident Access

Residents electronic profiles define areas that can be freely accessed within the facility. This occurs via the use of an integrated access control fob. Access control fobs generally sit on a resident's key ring and allow residents via a push of a selected button:

  • open a perimeter gate
  • arm or disarm their dwelling's security system
  • open or close a garage door
  • gain access through a locked gate or door which is serviced via a swipe card reader

Fobs are inexpensive and easily replaced. For those sites where swipe access is all that is required, Community Living Technologies will issue swipe cards instead of fobs.
 
Regardless of how a resident or staff member roams throughout a facility, depending on their level of access as defined by their profile, all access requests are securely logged and can be referenced back to a CCTV output if required.
