Emergency Response System
System Overview
Community Living Technologies can design a state-of-the-art emergency response and voice system including:
- assistance request through call points (e.g. assistance, emergency)
- staff assist escalation
- fire alarms through the provision of smoke and heat detectors
- detection of non-activity
- breach of security notification.
In any of these instances, a notification message is broadcast through to the relevant pagers, enunciator panels, cordless telephones, mapping interfaces, PCs, GSM mobile telephones or remote monitoring stations.
These messages are tailored to the output pattern depending on:
- the location of the event
- type of event
- time of day and day of week
- shift
- availability skills of staff
- system activity and congestion
Standard reporting is extensive and has the flexibility to be customised according to community requirements. All calls and call events, including interaction with external systems such as access control or fire indicator panels, are allocated specific logs and can be exported as required.
The emergency voice system can be implemented on traditional IP or dialler (telephone) based systems, meaning staff can quickly and easily converse with residents.
Community Living Technologies can recommend the correct system for sites where patient or resident care is a primary focus - be it an AS3811 compliant system, IP or telephony dialler based system.
Automatic or selectable rostering is included to maximise staff efficiencies. The system increases staff/carer response times to requests for assistance because they can talk to the resident in real time. This avoids the staff member or carer needing to physically attend to a resident simply wanting a cup of tea or a chat.
Designated Voice Path
Community Living Technologies can design the emergency voice system as a separate voice path so that it is a dedicated service in the event of an emergency. This service is then available regardless of the status of the resident's telephone, be it in-use, off the hook, or even disconnected.
All Call Paging
The emergency voice system can also be used for all call paging, a powerful feature that is used in response to selected or all residential dwellings and communal areas at the touch of a button.
Reporting
Standard reporting is extensive and user selectable criteria fields ensure end user customisation requirements are met. In addition, all calls and call events, including interaction with external systems such as access control or fire indicator panels, are allocated to specific logs for future reference and if required can be exported as needed. Automatic or selectable rostering is also included in order to maximise staff efficiencies.
