Community Living Technologies provides reliable and clear high-definition digital television services within any community living environment by “injecting” TV signals into copper or fi bre networks. This method avoids the need to install separate co-axial infrastructure to provide TV to facilities, houses, rooms and communal areas.

When TV services are being distributed via copper (IP) networks, Community Living Technologies use IPTV set-top boxes, which convert the data signal back to “RF” for connection to the TV. Community Living Technologies install IPTV services in a way that residents can, via a single set-top box, watch one channel while recording another at the same time.

Free-to-air TV

All local free-to-air TV channels are immediately accessible and satellite and Pay TV channels can be incorporated into the system. By using standard TV connections when delivering TV services over fibre,
residents or staff can plug the TV into the TV socket on the wall to receive the distributed TV signals.

Pay TV

Pay TV can be delivered to dwellings so that residents requiring the service simply organise a Pay TV set-top box (just like any standard subscriber). Alternatively, Community Living Technologies can set up the system so that all dwellings within the community will receive a number of Pay TV channels by default.

Additional services

Community Living Technologies can also arrange for intranet and Internet access through a resident’s TV using a set-top box and infrared keyboard.

Community Living Technologies can design, supply and install the necessary components required to create an “in-house” or private TV channel for residents, which is an effective way of drawing residents’ attention to upcoming functions or events, while also providing a source of community news.
