Many sites are also installing intranet servers in order to increase communication between residents and staff.

An intranet allows residents and staff to quickly and easily view today's activities, today's weather etc whilst at the same time view photos of previous events etc. Intranet servers are also used to provide greater levels of detail about topics which may have been covered on the community in-house TV channel.
